Advising

Advising

Degree-Seeking Students:
Degree-seeking students are assigned an Academic Advisor who will work with them throughout the duration of their time in the program.  One-on-one advising appointments are available to assist students.  Advisors are also available to answer questions throughout the year. Students can use the Advising Calendar to schedule an appointment with their advisor.

When degree-seeking students are assigned advisors, they will be contacted and will be able to sign up for an advising appointment through the calendar.  To view our advising staff, visit our Contacts page.

Students and their advisor use the Degree Planning Worksheet tool to map out their timeline to degree completion and help track completion of degree requirements. Please send a request to imba-support@illinois.edu and your adviser will provide the worksheet.

Non-Degree Students:
Non-degree students will not be assigned an advisor; however, you will have a point of contact in the department who will answer your questions.  Please visit the Contacts page for more information on our staff.  If you have questions, you are always welcome to contact imba-support@Illinois.edu.
